First off I'm 317 lbs. I had foot surgery and will be non weight bearing for 9 to 12 weeks on my right foot.My Dr. rents knee scooters for $100 a month with $35 for every additional week. This made no sense to me if I could buy one for a similar price. And in a household of a 57 yr old a 52 yr old and 86 yr old good chance it gets used again.IT COMES ASSEMBLED. You just have to unfold the steering handle and install the seat. Pretty straightforward. BUT mine came with a tightening lever for the seat that was missing the nut. However this appears to only stop the seat from swiveling a 1/2" or so from side to side. The locking knob that controls height locks the seat vertically. So the little slop side to side is no big deal to me. I never contacted the company or bothered to look for a replacement nut on hand to fix it myself since it's a non issue.This is not all terrain. BUT compared to the prices of the air filled tired really all terrain knee scooters I don't care. If you are using this indoors, or on smooth surfaces you will be fine. The wheels are hard solid rubber. They work well and roll effortlessly. Everything is tight and they do include an allen wrench to tighten everything. The directions point out to make sure the steering column stays tight and to retighten if necessary. My thought is the reviewers whose came apart did not do this. You may have to loosen this but to align the handle bars straight to the wheels then retighten. Mine came a little off but was no big deal and didn't bother. Tells you how in the directions.The brakes are really only good as an emergency brake to keep the knee scooter in place when you don't want it to roll. I am unfamiliar with knee scooters so I am not sure if they are supposed to be used for stopping while in motion. But locking them to keep the scooter from rolling whole doing tasks. Very useful and so far works great no slippage At this price point - they needed a little adjustment to get them to lock. Pretty easy, tells you how in the directions. I am happy with them. No big deal to Fred Flintstone it and use your foot to stop it seems to me.Now I'm a big guy. The scooter frame seems very well built and very sturdy.Get a cushion for the knee pad I have been using mine for 3 days and I can tell additional padding is going to be appreciated by my knee. But I believe from checking out the scooters at the Dr. office that the knee pad on this scooter is the industry standard. The form and function is as it should be.Overall I am very happy and this was money well spent and it's a lifesaver. With crutches I could practically do nothing. No way I could cook or do basic cleaning. This has greatly enabled my independence.Is it perfect? No. Is it perfect at this price point? A thousand times yes. Honestly for what other 350lb + knee scooters are selling for it could have come unassembled and with no brakes at all and I'd still be 100% satisfied.

I love my scooter and I'm a heavy person. It is very sturdy and I can get around better.

I had foot surgery and seriously this thing is a life saver. Crutches would be just awful like this. The surgical supply store cost 5 times more. This was a wonderful option. And the color is super cool.

I recently injured my leg and my doctor said that I could either use crutches or a scooter. I have used crutches before and they were very uncomfortable so I thought I might try a scooter this time. This scooter is so comfortable, has a nice color, and overall eas to use.
